Miami QB Marve suspended for Emerald Bowl
Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Miami Hurricanes quarterback Robert Marve has reportedly been suspended for the team's December 27 Emerald Bowl matchup against California.
According to the Miami Herald, Marve was suspended for academic reasons.
Marve, a redshirt freshman, has thrown for 1,293 yards on 116-of-213 passing through 11 games this season, with nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Freshman Jacory Harris has taken almost as many snaps at quarterback for the Hurricanes (7-5) this year, completing 93-of-153 passes for 1,001 yards, with 10 TDs and six picks in 12 contests.
